Reminders Before Thanksgiving Break

Here are a few reminders before our wonderful Thanksgiving Break:

Please secure electronic devices that are assigned to you... Mimios, iPads, Document Cameras, Laptops, etc. The temptation of an iPad or laptop that is unsecured and unwatched could result in the campus having to purchase another device. It is also import to make sure the technology department has an accurate listing of who the device is assigned to. If a device does come up missing, Theo has the ability to track the device (through a computer program that all of the district’s devices has installed) and track the device through the IP address or web provider. It is also important that Theo knows who is assigned the device so that he can make sure we give the police department accurate information (serial number, etc) that could help in recovery and tracking.

Be sure to unplug everything in your classrooms, workrooms, computer labs, etc. I know Mr. Sherman will be sending out a reminder email tomorrow about some of the details he will be looking for during the Thanksgiving Break... and yes... he will probably be up here during the break and give me a written report of the campus. All staff members, please check with your team leaders before leaving for the break to ensure all electronics have been unplugged.
