Field day is over and with only 9 more days left of school. It's 4:30pm after school and before I go home for the 3-day weekend, I wanted to share TWO things with you before we start wrapping up 2013-2014.

We received our STAAR scores back from the state on Wednesday. Here's the overall scores for each test:

We received our STAAR scores back from the state on Wednesday. Here's the overall scores for each test:
- 3rd Grade Reading - 89% Passing
- 3rd Grade Math - 72% Passing
- 4th Grade Reading - 72% Passing
- 4th Grade Math - 63% Passing
- 4th Grade Writing - 72% Passing
Compared to several other district in our area, our scores are about the same or higher. It is too early to know if we "Met Standard" or "Improvement Required" but regardless.... we will continue making improvements to our instructional program. Here is a letter written by a Superintendent from Paris ISD about the test assessments. Take the time to read it! This will help keep things in prospective.
