Important Reminders
Summer School
The dates for Summer School has been determined by the district. They are looking for teaching staff members and asking for student names. Please send Dr. Bright the names of the students you're planning to recommend for summer school. The criteria for summer school on the link below:
Please contact parents on the students you're wanting to attend summer school and document on the Journal tab in Aware.
Student Retention
By the end of this month, you'll need to have student names submitted to Mr. Jacobs for possible retention. These students should have been in STAT/RtI process all year.

Historically, April is the toughest and longest month for educators and with the state test moved back a few weeks - it seemed to make the month even longer. But the good news is that you made it - And it's Teacher Appreciation Week!! Please enjoy wearing JEANS for the week as a BIG Thanks for everything you do!

Gradebook System Update
Technology Department will be installing the spring update to TxEIS and Gradebook this weekend. The system will not be available on Sunday from 5:00pm until 12:00am.
PTO Board Meeting
The PTO board meeting is schedule for Monday, May 2nd @ 6:30pm in the library. Glarum/Martin, Martinez, Bunnell, Richie, and Webb will be attending. Please encourage your parents to attend the board meeting too. The homeroom teacher with the most parents represented at the meeting will receive a gift card!Technology Department will be installing the spring update to TxEIS and Gradebook this weekend. STAAR Lunch from La Madeleine
We're ordering individual box lunches for Monday, May 9th. Blue order forms have been placed in your boxes. Please put your name on the form, place a check mark by your sandwich choice (all come with fruit salad), and list any special requests (i.e. no tomato, no mayo) in the box at the bottom. Please return your forms to Martha Edwards by Tuesday, May 3rd.

This assessment will given on May 20th during RTI time.
Technology Showcase
The technology showcase fast approaching and many of you are all busy with preparing for testing. Just a reminder that Mrs. Finch sent out an email last week to help you. Every teacher/student in our school will have projects for the Tech Showcase and she would love to help. Please contact her directly for questions and support for your projects - also I can help with technology support too. Don't forget you have iPads & Chromebooks available if you need them!
On Tuesday, May 17th @ 5:30pm-7:30pm is the Technology Showcase which is the same night of the Family Book Fair Night (BOGO). The students will have projects available in classrooms/computer labs so that students can come and share their projects with their families. Mrs. Finch and I are very excited to see several of the projects the students have created.

I hope you know how much your students, parents, and principals appreciate the work day each and everyday. There aren't enough Jean Passes, Sonic Drinks, or Chocolate in the world to show how much YOU MATTER to these kids. So thank you so much for everything you do... every minute... everyday child... everyday! Your work is meaningful!
