    Important Reminders

    Book Fair Family Night & Technology Showcase
    On Tuesday,  May 17th @ 5:30pm-7:30pm is the Technology Showcase which is the same night of the Family Book Fair Night (BOGO). The students will have projects available in classrooms/computer labs so that students can come and share their projects with their families. Mrs. Finch and I are very excited to see several of the projects the students have created.

    Student Retention
    By the end of this month, you'll need to have student names submitted to Mr. Jacobs for possible retention. These students should have been in STAT/RtI process all year.

    Happy Mother's Day
    I trust everyone has had a wonderful Mother's Day on this damp day. Also, I hope you didn't do any of the cooking for your Mother's Day dinners - or as least didn't do the dishes :)

    STAAR Testing 
    Good luck to all our Testing Administrators for the next few days of testing. Thanks Mr. Powley for dealing with all the updates/changes to testing procedures this year, we appreciate all your work. Martha Edwards has ensured we all eat well during this time - thanks for coordinating all of this Martha.

    To all the tutors and volunteers that helped with after school tutoring - THANK YOU! We realize that kind of work has been especially challenging this year with the test being in May - but Thank You for maintaining a positive attitude and encouraging our kids.

    Team Leader Meeting - Wednesday May 11
    This is a brief meeting to talk about upcoming changes for the next school year, grade level arrangements, and selecting new teachers for open positions. We'll also talk about a few house keeping items before the end of the school year.

    Smile - Your on Camera
    On Monday, May 16th, the RCTV crew will be filming on our campus. They will be taking shots of students and/or teachers saying "I am a Bulldog" with your favorite Bulldog prop. Be sure to look camera ready that day - because they could be taken random shots throughout the building. Also, I will looking for a couple of teachers/students volunteer that would be good on camera for a short interview. Let me know if you're interested.

    Limited Subs
    On Wednesday, May 18th, we have several staff members attending the Region 10 Technology Conference. We'll be very limited on subs for this day so please don't ask to use personal days for this date.

    PTO Dunk Tank - Tuesday, May 24
    Our PTO will be hosting a Can Food Drive during this event. Also, students can pay for additional chances for the dunking booth. We appreciate our volunteers for the Dunking Tank and lunch will be provided to you as a thank you for supporting our kids & PTO.

    Field Day - Wednesday, May 25
    PTO will be providing a Snow Cone Truck where students and families and purchase these cool treats this day - please encourage your parents/kids to bring money for this day.

    Employee Recognition/Staff Development Day - May 27
    This day is a "Teacher Workday" where we'll be working on this day - No School for the kids. Please sure to clearly communicate this with your parents/students in newsletters, social media, etc.

    Volunteer Tea - May 31
    We're hosting a Volunteer Tea for the morning of May 31. I would love to have some sweet notes from teachers and a few students to share with our PTO board members and other volunteers for our campus. Also, if you have any pictures that features any of our PTO members working on our campus, please send them to me.

    FREE ESL Certification Prep Courses
    Nite Green & I emailed the staff last week (different times) to remind folks about completing their ESL certification by July 31, 2017. Be sure to reread those messages in your inbox. Let either one of know if you have any questions.
