Important Reminders
RtI Groups, MAPs Testing, Report Cards
Now that folks have been trained running reports for MAPs, please LOOK at your RtI groups again to ensure you have the right kids receiving the kind of interventions they need. Brittany Lancaster and I will be checking in with you from time to time to help support you all with RtI.
Also, you have students with low report card grades, they need to be receiving intervention too.

NEW Information
Parent/Teacher Conferences
Be sure you are planning and communicating with your parents about parent/teacher conferences for Monday, October 31. This is a FULL day that needs to be used well so you're taking up some much time during your conferences or after school to meet with parents.
There are several online tools and resources to help you schedule these meetings like:
Please keep a record for each of the parent conferences (the "Journal Tab" in Aware is a great place for this too). You MUST be reviewing the following for each student during the conference:

Please keep a record for each of the parent conferences (the "Journal Tab" in Aware is a great place for this too). You MUST be reviewing the following for each student during the conference:
- District testing (MAP testing data, unit assessments, DRA test)
- Plan for intervention (all students receive RtI)
- Accommodations & Modifications the student is receiving (i.e. ESL/SpEd/504 students)
- Student Attendance
Brittany Lancaster & I will be available as needed throughout that day to ensure conferences are running smoothly and concerns are being address as needed.
ARDs
As we continue to more throughout the school year, please be sure you are coming to each ARD meeting prepared to share about the progress of the student. Homeroom teachers, please bring current grades & assessments with you to the meeting (attendance, report cards, progress report, MAP data, DRA, Unit Tests data, and previous STAAR data). SpEd teachers will be bringing IEP goals/objectives but can help to support teachers with this data.
Capturing Kids Hearts Site Visit
On Tuesday this week, we'll be visited by someone from CKHearts. This is a great day to demonstrate what progress your understanding of CKHearts & how you're implementing in your classroom.
