The dates for New Employee Orientation are Monday, August 6th - Wednesday, August 8th. All new staff members required to attend and it will count toward your FLEX days we're using for later this school year. Here's our schedule for that week:

Professional Development & Flex Days
Based on our district calendar, each employee must complete four (4) days of professional development to take the place of the Flex Days. Several of you will be attending the Revolutionizing Learning Conference over the next couple of days while others have been involved in Summer Professional Development throughout the break. New Employee's will be attending the New Employee Orientation to get three (3) of the days completed. All staff members are required to completed the Online Compliance Training which will count has one (1) day for Flex Days. Below is the original email our Safety Administrator shared with us previously:
As our summer has "officially" started, I wanted to let you know what courses were needed for the 6 hour compliance training. They are on Safe Schools (https://roysecityisd-tx.safeschools.com/login) and your login is your email address. There are two strands - one for certified and one for hourly. If you have any difficulty, please let me know.

You will see that certified staff have 5 hours of online compliance training. All certified staff should be receiving a link from your campus principal, through iAct, for a one hour online refresher for T-TESS. These courses will start on May 31st and end on August 8th. They will reopen during our flex days so if you don't finish them this summer, you may complete them during any flex days.
TTESS Refresher (Teachers/Librarian)
If you've been evaluated on TTESS previously, this course is simply a one (1) hour refresher. Those of you that are NEW Teachers and haven't received the TTESS training will have a different course to complete your training. This is for returning teachers ONLY. This was the message I shared with ALL TTESS Staff Members before the break:

We’ve purchased a district subscription to the T-TESS Prep Teacher Refresher. Please complete the self-registration process below, and look for additional instructions regarding course requirements and deadlines.
